A WALK WITH BRUCE

 ADIOS PRIMAVERA

El verano comienza hoy, y estoy ansiosa por los planes de este verano. Aunque estoy segura de que va a ser un buen verano. 

Hoy paseando con Bruce acabamos en una alfombra de flores amarillas, super bonitas, parecen soles en miniatura, energía! Por cierto, Bruce es nuestro Bulldog Francés. Ya os lo presentaré más adelante. Es uno de los amores de mi vida.

Summer starts today, I´m anxious about this year summer plans. I´m sure it´s gonna be a good summer. Having a walk with Bruce today we ended up in a yellow flower carpet, super nice, they are like little suns,  energy!. By the way, Bruce is our French Bulldog. I will introduce him to you soon he is one of the loves of my life.

MELE DE LA YGLESIA

Estudió Bellas Artes en Madrid, diseño en Hildesheim, Alemania, y actualmente vive y trabaja en Berlín, pero ésta joven artista se sigue sintiendo gaditana hasta la médula.

Hasta llegar a lo que hace hoy, ha pasado por un largo proceso creativo, y cada vez sus dibujos se han ido haciendo más complejos en forma, aunque también más fáciles de descifrar al mismo tiempo.

Sus dibujos hablan de ella, de sus estados de ánimo y de lo que le rodea.

Quizá parezca muy típico aquello de que la obra habla, la mayoría de las veces, del artista. Pero al final es cierto! Sus obras son las páginas de su diario. El papel es el filtro que transforma sus días y los convierte en maravillosas formas orgánicas que hipnotizan al que las mira.

Ese es su objetivo. Hacer que el espectador se olvide de la realidad y por un rato deambule por otro mundo. Un mundo que mezcla lo curvo y lo recto, el blanco y negro y el color infinito, que te envuelve con sus líneas, que te mancha, que te transporta y te embelesa.

Estamos seguras de que llegará lejos, nosotras estamos profundamente enamoradas de sus dibujos y desde aquí le mandamos buenas vibraciones para que siga creciendo como hasta ahora.

MELE DE LA YGLESIA

She studied Arts in Madrid, design in Hildesheim, Germany, and now she lives and Works in Berlin, but this young artist is still 100% “gaditana” (from Cadiz).

Till today day, she has come trough a long creative process and her draws have become more complex but at the same time easier to decode.

Her work talks about her, her selfsteem and what sorrounds her.

 It may sound tipycal what they say: the work of an artist talks about the artist. But in the end is true! Her art becomes the pages of her diary. The paper is the filter of her days and it turns them into wonderfull organic shapes that hypnotize those who look at them.

This is her aim. Making the spectator loose the sense of reality and wonder around in another world.  A world that mixes the curves and the straight lines, the whites and the blacks with infinite colors. A world that wraps you up with lines, stains you , transports you and captivates you.

Whe are sure she will make it far, we are deeply in love wiht her drawings and from here at ME & THE MERMAID we wana send her good vibes to make it real!
